RUSSIA: From April to October, ROSGOSSTRAKH Life paid RUB 3.7 million for events related to the coronavirus

ROSGOSSTRAKH Life has paid RUB 3.7 million (~EUR 40 thousand*) for insured events related to COVID since the beginning of the pandemic (from April to October 2020), the insurer said in a press release.

The two largest payments in the amount of USD 20 thousand and RUB 1.7 million were made under the investment life insurance contract and the collective insurance contract, respectively. Claims for insurance payments were both due to death and temporary disability.

In 1H2020, total GWP of ROSGOSSTRAKH Life exceeded RUB 9.5 billion, and the insurer's market share increased by 4.9%, which allowed the company to rank 6th in the market.
