RUSSIA: Igor YURGENS remains the president of ARIA for the next three years

At a meeting of the All-Russian Insurance Association (ARIA) on October 7, it was decided to re-elect Igor YURGENS as the President of ARIA for three years term. YURGENS was approved as a candidate by the Central Bank of Russia in August, ASN reports.

As of now, Igor YURGENS is the president not only of ARIA, but also of the Russian Association of Motor Insurers (RAMI), as well as of the National Association of Liability Insurers (NALI).

Igor YURGENS first served as the president of ARIA from 1998 to 2002, then in 2013 he was re-elected to this position. Under his leadership, ARIA was transformed into a self-regulatory organization (SRO), which united all insurance organizations in Russia. On October 11, 2016, he was elected president of ARIA SRO. Starting January 15, 2015 he is also the president of RAMI and from October 31, 2016 - of NALI, according to the ARIA press service.
