SBERBANK Life Insurance won the Grand Prix of the "Financial Elite of Russia 2020" award in the nomination Life Insurance Company of the Year. The awards ceremony took place on March 30 in Moscow, the insurer said in its press release.

In 2020, the company transformed accumulative and investment life insurance policies to online and digitized several after-sales services, as well as concluded 1.9 million new insurance contracts. The number of effective contracts was 3.2 million units, and the number of insured clients exceeded 20 million people.

The company's paid claims in 2020 exceeded RUB 47 billion and total GWP amounted to RUB 107 billion (~EUR 1.18 billion*), according to the press release.

The "Financial Elite" Prize has been awarded since 2004. The Expert Council evaluates candidates based on data from leading Russian rating agencies, public statistics, as well as expert assessments of Russian economists and financiers.
