RUSSIA: for January-November 2018 crop insurance increased by 3% y-o-y and livestock insurance went up by 16%

According to the National Association of Agriculture Insurers (NAAI), 1.13 million hectares of crops (3% more y-o-y) and 83.1 million of livestock (+16%) were insured in Russia from January to November 2018.

The President of NAAI Korney BIJDOV noted that "the measures of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation to strengthen cooperation with regional bodies of the agricultural industrial complex on organization of subsidies and the measures of NAAI, targeted at interaction with regions, had already resulted in improvement of agro insurance at the end of 2018".
