28 April 2020 — press.release
The 64th edition of the Rendez-Vous de Septembre, due to be held in Monaco this 12 to 17 September 2020, was cancelled owing to uncertainties linked to the international health situation.

For 63 years, the Rendez-Vous de Septembre have brought together, in Monaco, the leading players on the global insurance, re-insurance and brokerage market in addition to a large number of lawyers, banking advisors and specialised journalists. Nearly 3,000 people attend the conference to discuss problems linked to the profession and to begin the annual negotiations that will lead to renewal of insurance and re-insurance treaties.

Claude Tendil, President of the RVS, stated:

"Given the seriousness of the health crisis we are experiencing, the members of the RVS Association have unanimously decided to cancel the 2020 RVS. We have also chosen to make a donation of EUR 100,000 to speed up scientific research in order to find a vaccine to combat Covid 19."

The next edition will therefore be held from September 11 to 16, 2021, the organizer announced.
