SLOVENIA's lender NLB rejects talk of exit from insurer Skupna

Slovenian lender Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) said on Thursday that it does not plan to sell its 28% stake in local pension insurer Skupna Pokojninska Druzba in response to speculations of a possible divestment.

The speculations were prompted by Skupna's takeover by Slovenia's biggest insurer, Zavarovalnica Triglav. Triglav said on Wednesday it had raised its stake in Skupna to 66.65% from 30.14% after a tender offer and added that it aimed to strengthen its presence on the Slovenian pension insurance market.
