Armenian insurance market at the end of 3Q2025 amounted to AMD 63.17 billion (EUR 140.59 million), which in local currency represents a 16.55% increase y-o-y, according to the data of the Financial Rating of Insurance Companies provided to ArmInfo.
Almost half of all premiums (47.83%) were generated by motor insurance, which grew by more than 20% y-o-y. The main contribution in this segment was made by MTPL. Health insurance was the second-largest class GWP-wise, accounting for almost 31%. Annual growth in this class was also double-digit at the end of 3Q2025. Property insurance ranks third in terms of market share (10.56%).
Insurers' paid claims increased by 10.08%, reaching AMD 35.15 billion (EUR 78.70 million) at the end of the third quarter. Among the largest insurance classes, such as motor, health, and property insurance, claims dropped significantly in property insurance (-85.01%), while the other two classes recorded double-digit growth.
Of the seven companies operating in the market, Nairi Insurance led in terms of GWP (AMD 10.94 billion), moving up to first place in terms of paid claims as well (AMD 6.12 billion). EFES followed closely behind in terms of premiums (AMD 10.69 billion), while INGO ranked third in terms of both premiums and paid claims (AMD 10.46 billion).
