STATISTICS:  BiH Q1 2022: insurers' business increased by 9.20% to over EUR 107 m
The insurance companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina reported aggregate Q1 2022 GWP worth BAM 209.81 million (EUR 107.27 million), up by 9.20% compared with the same period of 2021, according to the quarterly market figures published by the local insurance agency - AZOBIH.

The value of GWP of the insurers operating in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina increased by 8.29% to EUR 75.04 million, while the Republika Srpska based insurers generated EUR 32.24 million, up by 11.40% y-o-y.

Overall, non-life insurance premiums increased by 7.70% year-on-year to EUR 83.57 million, while premiums in the life insurance segment went up 14.87% to EUR 23.71 million). From the non-life subclasses, EUR 11.54 million corresponded to the property lines and EUR 57.79 million to motor insurance (MoD and MTPL, summed).

Of total 25 active insurers, in terms of GWP, the top three largest insurers in the country were FBiH based insurers ADRIATIC osiguranje (9.37% market share), UNIQA osiguranje (9.05%) and Triglav osiguranje (8.21%).
