STATISTICS:  CIS, 1H2022: Kazakhstan recorded the lowest GWP growth, while Ukraine saw negative dynamics
The CIS Regional Insurance Market* ended 1H2022 up 45% y-o-y in EUR, reaching EUR 18.67 billion, according to xprimm statistics.

Among the markets for which data is available for comparison, the most significant increase in premiums was demonstrated by Uzbekistan (+80.59%), followed by the Armenian market, and in third place in terms of growth rate is the Russian market. The insurance market of Kazakhstan grew the least (+8.42%), while against the backdrop of hostilities, the insurance market of Ukraine was the only one in the region to have an annual decline - by more than 27%.

Total paid claims in the region increased by 66%, to EUR 8.75 billion. The most rapid growth in paid claims was recorded by the Uzbek market (+161%), while the insurance markets of Azerbaijan and Ukraine saw a fairly significant decrease in euro compared to the first half of 2021.
