The insurance sector of Kyrgyzstan recorded impressive growth of 107.66% (in KGS) in the first half of the year, reaching KGS 3,961.89 million (EUR 38.72 million), according to data published by the Service for regulation and supervision of the financial market of Kyrgyzstan.
Mandatory insurance demonstrates impressive growth rates among insurance classes (+395.57%), becoming the largest class in the market GWP portfolio (35.08%). Personal insurance ranks second in terms of premium volume, having grown by 282.62% in the reporting period.
Insurers' paid claims increased by 34.45%, amounting to KGS 490.31 million (EUR 4.79 million). Mandatory insurance recorded a three-digit increase in payments - 122.17%. At the same time, the largest share in paid claims falls on property insurance (KGS 333.42 million).
At the end of the first half of 2025, 15 insurers were active on the market, among which GSO came out on top in terms of GWP, with a market share of 21%. ARSENAL Kyrgyzstan ranks second, with a little gap of approximately 1%. NSK, the leader of the previous year, moved down to third place.
