STATISTICS:  KYRGYZSTAN, FY2020: the insurance sector ended the year without losses - premiums almost remained at the level of 2019 (in local currency)
The insurance sector of Kyrgyzstan, after a decrease seen in the third quarter, ended 2020 without losses (in local currency) - GWP remained almost at the level of 2019 (+0.15% y-o-y), according to data published by the State Service of regulation and supervision of the financial market at the government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Of the main insurance segments, the growth of the market was supported only by property insurance, GWP of which reached KGS 915.87 million (EUR 9.04 million), and the share in the market portfolio exceeded 68%. Other insurance segments dropped y-o-y, and the biggest decrease was observed in liability insurance.

Market paid claims increased very insignificantly (less than 2%) and amounted to KGS 184.21 million. The largest part of claims was paid in property insurance, while the smallest (excluding life insurance) - in liability insurance.

Of the 14 companies operating in the Kyrgyz market at the end of the 2020, INGOSSTRAKH remains the leader - the company's share in the total GWP volume exceeded 45%. The second place is still occupied by JUBILI Kyrgyzstan, while the insurance company KYRGYZSTAN moved up to the third place from the fourth that it had a year ago.
