At the end of September 2025, the insurance market of Montenegro totaled EUR 112.9 million, 10% more y-o-y, while the value of paid claims by insurers totaled EUR 45.84 million, up by 7.5% y-o-y, according to the quarterly market data released by Insurance Supervision Agency.

Life insurers generated about 18.7% of total insurance market or EUR 21.1 million, up by 9.27% y-o-y, while the non-life insurance segment totaled EUR 91.8 million (10.24% up y-o-y).

Two non-life business lines were the main drivers of the growth both in GWP and paid claims terms: mandatory MTPL and Motor Hull insurance.

Wiener Staedtische zivotno osiguranje is the largest life insurer in the country (44.87% market share) followed by Lovcen-zivotna osiguranja (26.17%) and GRAWE (23.5%), while the non-life insurance segment is led by LOVCEN osiguranje (34.48%) SAVA (22.05%) and Uniqa nezivotno osiguranje (20.36%).
