STATISTICS: ex-USSR, 3Q2024: Kyrgyzstan and Russia lead in GWP and paid claims growth rates

The regional insurance market of the former Soviet Union* countries grew by 37.61% in euros over the first three quarters of 2024, amounting to EUR 28.54 billion, according to xprimm statistics.

Apart from Ukraine and Armenia, the remaining markets recorded growth (in euros), most of which were double-digit. Kyrgyzstan leads in growth rates (+56.72%), with Russia in second place. Russia's share as the largest market in the region increased from 77.75% a year earlier to 81.51%.

Paid claims at the regional level grew by 30.04%, reaching EUR 11.70 billion. Again, Kyrgyzstan recorded the highest growth rates in paid claims (+41.77%), and Russia follows. It is worth noting that, unlike premiums, paid claims increased in all markets.
