STATISTICS: Armenia, 3Q2017: GWP up by 3.78%; two Russian units account for about half of the insurance market

In 3Q 2017, gros premiums written by the local insurers have grown slightly, by 3.78%, to AMD 24,562.59 million (EUR 43.5 million), according to ArmInfo Agency data.

By types of insurance, accidents, cargo, travel and health classes saw the highest growth rates in GWP volumes.

In the reporting period, a negative GWP dynamics has been recorded by overall property insurance (down by 12.67%) and GTPL (27.41%).

In terms of GWP, top 3 insurers generated 71.77% of the total insurance market: ROSGOSSTRAKH Armenia (market share 28.17%), INGO Armenia (27.08%) and NAIRI Insurance (16.53%). In the reporting period, five insurers activated on the Armenian insurance market.
