Thee aggregate GWP reported by the 17 CEE insurance markets totaled almost EUR 28 billion at the end of September 2020, about half million EUR less as compared with 3Q2019, according to the quarterly market figures centralized by xprimm.com.

For the analyzed period, the aggregate claims and indemnities paid by CEE insurers decreased by more than EUR 1 billion to EUR 16 billion

Per LoBs, non-life insurance GWP totaled EUR 19.4 billion (about 1% more y-o-y), of which EUR 3.8 billion - property insurance, EUR 6.4 billion - MTPL and EUR 4 billion - MoD. On the other side, life insurance GWP decreased by almost 7% y-o-y to EUR 8.6 billion.

XPRIMM centralized figures shoed that of only three CEE markets out of 17 reported 9 months 2020 GWP of over EUR 2 billion, as follows: Poland (EUR 10.27 billion), Czech Rep (EUR 4.65 billion) and Hungary (EUR 2.46 billion).

On the other side, Albania (EUR 96.73 million), Kosovo (EUR 74.09 million) and Montenegro (EUR 71.63 million) were at the end of September 2020 the smallest CEE markets, with GWP less than EUR 100 million each.
