CEE insurance market totaled EUR 31.98 billion, (up by 5.37% y-o-y) at the end of September 2022, according to the insurance statistics centralized by xprimm.com. At the same time, the value of paid claims was up by almost 9% to EUR 18.50 billion.

The CEE insurance market comprises the market figures published by Insurance Authorities and Insurers Professional Associations in 17 countries.

In terms of GWP, the largest regional insurance market was Poland (EUR 10.82 billion, 33.86% market share) followed by Czechia (19.29%) and Hungary (8.19%). In terms of growth rates, the Romanian insurance market posted the largest increase in GWP: +23.24% to EUR 2.43 billion (7.62%market share) while, the largest GWP decrease was reported by Slovak insurers: -10.55% to EUR 1.43 billion.
