The dynamics of individual markets was multidirectional - such markets as Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, and Uzbekistan recorded an increase (in EUR), with the most noticeable increase observed in the Kazakhstani market - by almost 34%. The Georgian market (in euros) practically stagnated in the first quarter. And the markets of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine ended the first three months with a negative y-o-y result (the largest decline being recorded in Armenia).
It should be noted that the compared data does not include figures of the markets of Kyrgyzstan (no statistics for 1Q2020), Tajikistan and Turkmenistan (no quarterly data).
The region's aggregate paid claims expanded by 9.08% to EUR 2.49 billion. Here, the dynamics were also different - Azerbaijan's paid claims increased the most (compared to the first quarter of 2020) - by more than 77%, and the largest decrease in paid claims was observed in the Kazakhstani market - by almost 59%.
