STATISTICS: CROATIA 1H2017: 2.4% GWP growth supported by the non-life segment
The aggregate GWP of Croatian insurers totalled HRK 4.93 billion (EUR 665 million) at the end of June, up by 2.42% on the year, according to the market statistics published on the website of the Croatian Insurance Bureau - CIB.

Non-life GWP was up by 3.36% y-o-y to HRK 3.40 billion, while the life insurance segment totalled HRK 1.52 billion, or 0.38% more y-o-y.

Twenty-one insurers reported underwriting activity in the first six months of the year, according to CIB figures. The largest insurer in the country was CROATIA osiguranje - owned by Rovinj based holding ADRIS Grupa (GWP of HRK 1.42 billion, 28.9% market share). ALLIANZ Zagreb ranked second (HRK 636 million, 12.9%) followed by EUROHERC Osiguraje (HRK 423.9 million, 8.6%).
