STATISTICS: CROATIA, FY2019: insurers' GWP increased by 7% y-o-y to EUR 1.4 billion
The gross written premiums of Croatian insurers increased by 7% y-o-y to HRK 10.54 billion (EUR 1.42 billion) in 2019, according to the preliminary figures published by the Croatian Insurance Bureau.

Non-life GWP rose 11.26% to HRK 7.47 billion, whereas the life insurance segment earned premiums of HRK 3.06 billion, down 2.14% compared to 2018. Non-life insurance lines represented 70.92% market GWP (FY2018: 68.20%), the rest of 29.08% representing life insurance lines of business (FY2018: 31.80%).

CROATIA Osiguranje was the largest insurance company in the country, accounting for 25.70% of total gross written premiums. ALLIANZ Zagreb followed with 12.94% and EUROHERC Osiguranje was third with 12.13%.
