STATISTICS:  CROATIA, Q1 2022: 9% GWP increase, driven by the non-life insurance segment
The GWP of Croatian insurers increased by 9.02% y-o-y in Q1 2022, to HRK 3.54 billion (~EUR 468 million), according to the quarterly figures published on the website of the Croatian Insurance Bureau.

Gross written premiums from non-life insurance increased by 9.86% y-o-y, to HRK 2.71 billion (EUR 358 million), while the life insurance segment totaled HRK 834.10 million (EUR 110 million), up by 6.36% compared to January-March 2021.

Of the total 15 active insurers in the country, Croatia Osiguranje was the largest with ~EUR 128.5 million (27.44% market share). Allianz Hrvatska followed with 13.82% and Wiener Osiguranje was third with 10.17%.
