STATISTICS: CROATIA Q1: Top 3 insurers accounted for more than half of market

According to the data published by the Croatian Insurance Bureau, in the first three months of the current year, the insurance market totaled HRK 2.52 billion (about EUR 336 million), 0.5% lower than in the 1Q2015.

CROATIA Osiguranje, ALLIANZ Zagreb and EUROHERC Osiguranje are the Top 3 market leaders, with an combined market share of 52.2%.

On insurance classes, the non-life segment reported a 0.2% y-o-y increase to HRK 1.72 billion (EUR 229 million), while the life insurance segment generated a business volume of HRK 804 million (~EUR 107 million), down by 1.9% compared to 1Q2015.
