STATISTICS: CROATIAN insurers' Q1 GWP up by 2.2% y-o-y

The aggregate GWP by the 23 Croatian insurers members of the Croatian Insurance Bureau was of HRK 2.58 billion (EUR 345 million) in 1Q, up 2.26% on the year, as CIB quarterly figures show.

GWP from non-life insurance rose by 2.50% y-o-y to HRK 1.76 billion (EUR 238 million), while the life insurance segment totaled HRK 818.67 million (EUR 110 million), 1.74% higher y-o-y.

On the life segment, the market leader as GWP was CROATIA Osiguranje (25.5% market share), followed by ALLIANZ Zagreb (17.7%) and GENERALI Osiguranje (9.5%).

Top 3 non-life insurers was as follows: CROATIA Osiguranje (34.3% market share), followed by ALLIANZ Zagreb - (11.7%) and EUROHERC Osiguranje (11.1%).
