The Czech Republic insurance maket reported a nine months growth rate in premiums of 5.64% y-o-y to CZK 102.86 billion (or EUR 3.98 billion), according to the end-September 2019 market statistics published on the local professional association website.

Per lines of business, life insurers collected almost CZK 34 bilion on gross premium written, 3.5% more y-o-y, or 33% of total market, while general insurance segment was up by 6.75% to CZK 68.9 billion, of which 34% - motor insurance - MoD and Motor TPL, summed-up.

The largest three insurers in the country were KOOPERATIVA - member of Austrian insurance group VIG (23.5% market share), followed by Ceska pojistovna - owned by Italians from GENERALI (20.8%) and "Germans" from ALLIANZ pojistovna (10.5%).
