The non-life insurance segment slightly increased by 0.2% y-o-y to EUR 1.55 billion, while the life insurance business line decreased by almost 10% to EUR 1.31 billion - influenced by the negative dynamic reported by the traditional life policies (-16.8%).
The market figures published by HAIC include the figures for 51 insurance companies of which 19 were active in life insurance (and accounted for 99.9% of the segment market's full data for 2019) and 43 were active in non-life insurance (94.9% market share).
