The Greek insurers reported aggregate GWP of EUR 2.87 billion at the end of September 2018, up by 2.1% y-o-y, according to the nine-months market report published by the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies (HAIC).

In terms of GWP, the life insurance segment was down by 0.40% y-o-y to EUR 1.36 billion due the 3.8% decrease reported by UL policies to EUR 215 million.

On the other hand, the published figures show that the non-life insurance GWP accounted for 52.5% of the total - EUR 1.50 billion, or 4.4% more y-o-y.
