STATISTICS: LITHUANIA's market totaled almost a half billion euro in 3Q

Lithuania's insurance market totalled EUR 498 million after 3Q, up by 7.4% y-o-y. Non-life segment grew by 12.6% to EUR 345 million (69.2 of total GWP), while life insurance market was down by 2.6 % to EUR 153 million, according to the Lietuvos bankas's 3Q figures.

MTPL, MoD policies and the property segment accounted for about 55% of the overall insurance market (or 80% of non-life segment), while UL products generated 58% of the total life GWP.

AVIVA Lietuva (21.7%) and SWEDBANK (21.4%) are the largest life insurers as GWP volume, while LIETUVOS draudimas, ADB Gjensidige (the former PZU Lietuva) and BTA Ins. Company SE filialas Lietuvoje lead the non-life segment - generating together about 59% of non-life GWP.
