During the year 2022, the Lithuanian insurance market grew by 18.57% y-o-y (or by EUR 193 million) to EUR 1.23 billion, while the value of payments expanded by 24.69% y-o-y to EUR 682.37 million, according to the market figures published by the Bank of Lithuania.

The amount of non-life GWP increased by 23.94% y-o-y to EUR 894.14 million, while the life insurance market grew by 6.44% to EUR 339.85 million.

According to the Central Bank's statistics, SWEDBANK Life Insurance (21.96% market share) is the largest life insurer in the country as GWP volume, while Lietuvos draudimas (~EUR 267 million) is the top non-life insurer out of 13 market players.
