Gross written premiums from non-life insurance added 5.91% to EUR 71.60 million last year, while the life insurance segment earned premiums of EUR 15.23 million, up by 7.51%, according to figures published on the website of the Insurance Supervision Agency of Montenegro.
Total gross claims paid increased to EUR 42.07 billion as at the end of December, from EUR 35.70 million a year earlier.
GRAWE osiguranje was the largest life insurer - GWP of EUR 6.9 million, market share of 45.30%.
LOVCEN osiguranje was the biggest non-life insurer in Montenegro with GWP of EUR 30.72 million, up by 2.78% on the year, and a market share of 42.91%.
The statistics comprises data from four life insurers and five general insurers active in Montenegro.
