The GWP by the Montenegrin insurers totalled EUR 22.1 million in the first three months of 2019, up 20.2% on the year, the Insurance Supervision Agency of Montenegro informed.

Gross written premiums from non-life insurance rose 20.8% to EUR 18.7 million in the analysed period, while the life insurance segment earned premiums of EUR 3.4 million, up by 17.2% y-o-y.

As at the end of March 2019, 9 insurance companies operated in the country, of which four are specialised life insurers.
