The GWP of Serbian insurance companies increased 8.52% in Q1 2020, reaching RSD 26.94 billion ~EUR 229 million), NBS quarterly data showed.

The life insurance companies' total GWP grew 10.76% to RSD 6.25 billion, while the payments (indemnities and maturities) grew 11.23% to RSD 3.49 billion.

At the same time, non-life aggregate GWP totaled RSD 20.69 billion, up by 7.86% y-o-y, while the claims paid by insurers expanded by 37% y-o-y to RSD 12.62 billion.

At the end of Q1 2020, Serbia's largest insurer as GWP was DUNAV Osiguranje (27.24% market share), followed by GENERALI Osiguranje (21.26%) and WIENER (12.57%).
