According to the January-September 2023 statistics published by SLASPO (Slovak Insurance Association), at the end of Q3, total GWP from the members of the association totaled EUR 2.04 billion, up by 4.78% y-o-y.

Despite the over 10% y-o-y decrease in Index-linked and unit-linked insurance, overall premiums written in life insurance increased by 2.67% y-o-y to EUR 792.65 million, while non-life segment was up by 6.17% y-o-y to EUR 1.25 billion.

In terms of GWP, the largest life insurers in the country were KOOPERATIVA VIG (EUR 242.77 million), Allianz-Slovenska (EUR 146.42 million) and Generali Poistovna (EUR 92.60 million), while the Top 3 in non-life insurance was formed by Allianz-Slovenska (EUR 360.45 million), KOOPERATIVA VIG (EUR 269.55 million) and Generali Poistovna (EUR 176.27 million).
