Slovak Telekom and Generali : new co-branded product for mobile phones

Slovak Telekom has launched in cooperation with the insurance company GENERALI a new insurance service for mobile phones up to two years old, announces the Slovak press.

The insurance premium is calculated as 14% of the price of the new device for an one year insurance coverage and 22% for two years.

For example, a customer buying an iPhone for EUR 799 has to pay for a 24 month insurance coverage a premium of EUR 175.78. The claim amount in the case of damage is subject to amortisation, meaning that the original price of the device will be decreased by 24% after twelve months. The customer's excess contribution is EUR 20.
