“SorS Academy” was founded with the aim of providing education for insurance professionals in an innovative and unique way. The fast-track training it will provide might be a solution to the obvious problem of a lack of employees in the insurance and reinsurance industry in the area. SorS Academy is headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia.
Internal trainings have become expensive, taking too much time, lasting long and often having negative effect due to engagement of the employees which are additionally burdened by the time dedicated to training new colleagues in addition to their everyday tasks. Considering that this employment issue is present within a lot of companies in the region and worldwide, the members of the SORS association have founded a new Association – SORS Academy which will provide support and education to insurance and reinsurance companies, brokers and other interested parties. This education is intended not only for individuals with no experience but also the those already working in the industry which are interested in gaining new knowledge and skills and upgrading the existing ones.
The founder of the Academy is SORS - Association of insurance and reinsurance companies headquartered in ex-Yugoslav countries, and which was established more than 40 years ago.
After its foundation, in July 2023, SorS Academy has announced the training programs for the sessions which will be held in the month of April 2024. The areas of education are insurance, reinsurance, intermediation, risk management and corporate management.
First training session of the SorS Academy will comprise of three programs destinated to different categories of trainees:
- April 8 – 12, 2024 – INSURANCE – Junior/Senior/Master Level
- April 15 – 19, 2024 – REINSURANCE - Junior/Senior/Master Level
- April 22 – 26, 2024 - INSURANCE MEDIATION Junior/Senior/Master Level
The members of the Expert Committee of SorS Academy are: dr Damir Zorić -Euroherc HR, Djordje Vojnović – CEO Triglav osiguranje MK, Nebojša Šćekić -CEO Sava osiguranje MNE, Prof. emeritus Dr Boris Marović, Zlatan Filipović -Bosna Re BiH. The chair person of the committee is Mr. Zoran Blagojević – CEO Wiener Stadtische osiguranje SRB.
