In response to the earthquake that struck Türkiye and Syria, Italian insurer Generali informed it supports the impacted populations with a donation to UNICEF and other local programs as well as with a global fundraising campaign to be matched by Generali.

“In response to this disaster, Generali has decided to donate EUR 500,000 to UNICEF, which is currently assisting in the rescue efforts with emergency items including food, clean water, family and baby hygiene kits, clothing, emergency medical supplies and safe spaces (shelter for families and children with childcare services), and to other local programs to be selected together with Generali Sigorta.

A global fundraising campaign is also underway, with donations matched 1:1 by Generali for emergency support in the impacted areas.

Moreover, at local level Generali Sigorta has launched an employee donation campaign to support local organisations for first aid emergency and will also match the funds raised.
