TURKMENISTAN introduced compulsory ecological insurance

Compulsory ecological insurance is being introduced in Turkmenistan on March 1, 2013 for enterprises and those conducting ecologically dangerous activities according to an official source from Turkmenistan.

The new regulation is binding for agencies and enterprises conducting ecologically risky activities independently in the form of ownership, besides agencies financed directly from the national budget, including foreign legal entities, their representative offices, as well as physical entities engaged in entrepreneurial activities without creating a legal entity.

For this purpose they all should sign a contract on compulsory public ecological insurance for 2013 until June1 this year.

Implementation of compulsory public ecological insurance is charged to the State insurance Company of Turkmenistan.
