Guvanch NURMUKHAMMEDOV has been appointed as the new General Director of the State insurance organization, the single insurance institute of Turkmenistan, as the State information agency of Turkmenistan wrote.

The deputy general director Dovletmyrat GULMYRADOV, who recently replaced Annabibi AMANMEDOVA, dismissed from the post by a presidential decree for serious shortcomings in her work, was also relived of his temporary duties as the acting General Director of the State insurance organization.

The State Insurance Organization of Turkmenistan (Turkmengosstrakh) was established on August 18, 1992 and today it includes 41 independent insurance organizations located throughout the territory of Turkmenistan. Turkmengosstrakh offers 6 types of compulsory and 40 types of voluntary insurance. Rendered insurance services correspond to the global standards of insurance. The country has a law on insurance, which regulates relations on the insurance market, establishes legal, economic and organizational basis of state regulation and supervision over insurance.
