The 6th Annual Insurance Business Forum "Challenges of the Year 2019" will take place on September 16-18, 2019 in Sochi.
The Forum programme includes:
- September 16 - Conference "IFRS 17. Hard Skills for Responsible Actuaries"
- September 17 - Conference "Financial Challenges: Financial Sustainability Assessment Innovations: Preparation for IFRS 17"
- September 18 - Conference "orporate Insurance. Focus on BI, D&O, PD, etc."
The topic for the event to be held September 16 and 17 is IFRS 17 and its impact on the financial and actuarial functions of insurers. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss in detail practical solutions for the implementation of the standard and benefits of its application.
In addition, the September 17 programme includes a presentation of several IFRS 17 introduction projects by insurance companies, software choice issues and also commentary on "the new model for assessing the financial sustainability of insurance companies" with leading experts.
Management of the Bank of Russia, insurance companies, foreign experts, responsible actuaries, and representatives from Big Four consulting companies are invited as speakers.
September 18 will be fully devoted to a detailed review of practical cases of insurance against interruption of business in various industries, as well as Director and Officer (D&O) liability insurance, etc.
A distinctive feature will be the participation of insurers in the event. The event will focus on the interaction and mutual understanding between insurers and policyholders at the stage of agreement negotiation, which helps avoid litigation upon the occurrence of an insured event.
