The latest XPRIMM Insurance Report and two other XPRIMM Publications, launched at FIAR 2018

The specialists participating at FIAR 2018 are among the first readers of the 3 newest XPRIMM Publications, officially launched during the event: XPRIMM Insurance Report - FY2017, XPRIMM Insurance Profile Romania and PRIMM Magazine - Insurance&Pensions.

XPRIMM Insurance Report - FY2017 includes the financial results reported in 2017 by the insurance markets in over 30 insurance markets in CEE, SEE and CIS. Data such as the total gross written premiums, paid claims, and the market portfolio for each country, as well as GDP, GDP per capita, and insurance penetration degree are available for all insurance professionals interested in developing their business in these countries.

XPRIMM Insurance Profile Romania FY2017 includes the preliminary results reported by the insurance market in 2017 and highlights the local trends. The insurance density in 2017 in Romania was of EUR 108.17/capita, meaning that Romanians are spending for insurance products about one third of the CEE average amount of EUR 299/capita; in a wider context, per comparison with the EU average, of EUR 2,200/capita, Romanians are spending about 20 times less than the average European.

Lloyd's of London announced new members to the Council

Lloyd's of London announced that Albert BENCHIMOL and Victoria CARTER have been appointed respectively External member and Working member of the Lloyd's Council with effect from 1 February 2019. Michael WATSON, currently on the council, has been re-elected as External member.



Reducing the risks in agriculture by using insurance means, discussed in Skopje

On November 1st, an Agricultural insurance conference took place in Skopje, Macedonia, organized by the Insurance Supervision Agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy. Drawing attention to the necessity of reducing the risks in agriculture by using insurance was the event's main purpose.
