UKRAINE: Despite the country's economic situation, GLOBUS VIG reported impressive growth in 2015

According to the preliminary data published by the Kyiv-based insurer GLOBUS Vienna Insurance Group (VIG), in 2015 the company has earned UAH 171.6 million (about EUR 6.5 million) in insurance premiums, 43.4% more y-o-y, while the number of concluded contracts totaled 351,468.

At the same time, "despite the complicated economic situation in the country adhering to its motto «Insurance company that pays out» and providing reliable insurance coverage to its customers, GLOBUS VIG reimbursed UAH 45.4 million for 6,690 insurance claims in 2015 (that is 10.5% higher compared to 2014)", the company said in a statement.

The insurer pointed out that during 2015, the Top 5 largest reimbursements per one claim were as follows:

  • UAH 581,000 - Green Card insurance;
  • UAH 130,276 - voluntary Motor-Casco insurance;
  • UAH 100,000 - MTPL;
  • UAH 100,000 - Voluntary MTPL;
  • UAH 76,000 - obligatory personal insurance against casualties on transport.
