Tas Insurance Group, one of the TOP-5 insurers of Ukraine, generated GWP of UAH 707.45 million (~EUR 23.64 million) from January to May 2019, which is 34.8% more y-o-y, Forinsurer reports.

The leading classes in the company's portfolio are MTPL (33.42%), with GWP reaching UAH 236.44 million (+31.1% y-o-y), and Green Card (23.72% of the portfolio), which generated UAH 167.78 million of the group premiums (+48.1% y-o-y). The third is Motor Hull (a 16.55% share) which contributed to GWP in the amount of UAH 117.06 million (+40.2%).

Paid claims of TAS during the period under review reached UAH 296.4 million, which is 43.9% more y-o-y. The major part of paid claims also fell to the leading class: MTPL (40.51%), while 27.42% of claims were paid for Motor Hull. Paid claims under Green Card policies accounted for 13.43% of the total company's paid claims, and 4^th place was taken by voluntary medical insurance (10.91%).

According to 1Q2019 results, TAS ranked 5^th among non-life insurance companies, with GWP of UAH 397.87 million (EUR 13.02 million); and 3^rd among life insurers with a life market share of 12.38%.
