MetLife confirms its status as the absolute leader in the life insurance market in Ukraine. The company has topped the Insurance TOP rankings for 10 consecutive years, accumulating approximately 50% of all insurance premiums in the sector, according to Forinsurer.

The core of MetLife's portfolio is accumulative life insurance – over UAH 2.08 billion (+11% in 2025). In the personal risk insurance segment, the company collected over UAH 1 billion. In 2025, the company settled 29,700 insurance claims, a 43.4% increase y-o-y. MetLife's paid claims accounted for 34% of the total payments in the Ukrainian life insurance market.

The company's financial strength reached new highs in 2025: assets grew by 22.4% to over UAH 12.4 billion, insurance reserves increased by 27.6% to almost UAH 6.5 billion, investment income reached a record UAH 1.19 billion (+39.3%), and the company's net profit for the year increased by 12.8% to UAH 977.1 million.

MetLife has been operating in Ukraine since 2002 and is part of the global MetLife Group (USA), which has a 158-year history. The company is the consistent leader in the Ukrainian life market in terms of premiums, paid claims, and the number of insured persons, providing reliable financial protection for its clients, the source added.
