UKRAINE: ORANTA ends 2025 with record premiums

ORANTA, a top 10 insurer in Ukraine, saw its GWP in 2025 increase by 58% to UAH 3.73 billion (~EUR 75.50 million), while its financial result increased by 78% to UAH 279 million. The company's assets exceeded UAH 3.5 billion for the first time, and its equity exceeded UAH 1 billion, according to Forinsurer.

ORANTA's paid claims in 2025 totaled UAH 1.15 billion, a 76% increase y-o-y. The number of active contracts rose by 21%. The company's assets increased by 55% to UAH 3.55 billion, and insurance reserves - by 71% to UAH 2.32 billion.

A key driver of this growth was the reform of the compulsory civil liability insurance. A new law came into effect on January 1, 2025, introducing free pricing and mandatory direct claims settlement for all insurers.

ORANTA's premiums in the MTPL segment doubled to UAH 3.06 billion. MTPL paid claims amounted to UAH 858 million (+76%). The MTPL loss ratio remains at 28%.

Along with MTPL, the company significantly expanded its presence in other segments. Voluntary health insurance increased by 68% to UAH 148 million, and accident insurance grew by 79%. Growth in these segments reflects stable demand for personal insurance coverage in the current environment. In property insurance, GWP rose to UAH 123 million. The company’s paid claims in the segment grew, although overall loss ratio remains manageable.
