UKRAINE: UNIQA insurer introduces mobile app for settling car insurance claims

5 January 2015 —
In December 2014, Kyiv-based UNIQA insurance company, in cooperation with Audatex Ukraine, introduced a mobile app for settling car insurance claims, reads the insurer's press release.

AudaMobile app for iOS-based tablet devices will allow the modernization of a number of processes in settling car insurance claims, which in turn improves the quality of service for UNIQA clients. With this innovation, insurer's accident manager can settle a claim at the insured car, at the most convenient place for a client.

The new app will allow UNIQA employees to take a photo of a damaged vehicle, write a digital examination report and claim for compensation, make digital copies of all the necessary documents and assess the amount of damage. After the examination of car is completed, a client puts his signature right on the tablet device. Thus, the time needed for completing documents for settling insurance drops from 40-60 to 15-20 minutes, depending on the severity of damage to the vehicle. The reconciliation of accounts with automobile repair shops is then quicker and simpler.

UNIQA was founded in 1994. Until 2010 its name was Credo Classic. The insurer joined Group Austria in 2006.

The company provides over 90 types of insurance services. It has 30 licenses, 140 sales outlets and 26 regional offices. Read the full story
