UKRAINE: for 9 months of 2021, net profit of the UNIQA group exceeded UAH 246 million

According to the results of 9M2021, the non-banking financial group UNIQA Ukraine, which includes the insurance companies UNIQA and UNIQA Life, ranking among the top-5 market leaders, continued to grow - the group's net profit before tax amounted to UAH 246.2 million/EUR 7.98 million* (UNIQA - UAH 200.5 million, UNIQA Life - UAH 45.7 million), Forinsurer wrote.

GWP of UNIQA for the period amounted to UAH 2,344.7 million, which is 24% more y-o-y. The company's portfolio continues to be balanced - motor insurance occupies 35%, property - 21% and personal types - 44% of the portfolio. Paid claims for the first three quarters of 2021 amounted to UAH 961.8 million.

UNIQA's insurance reserves amount to UAH 1.6 billion. Assets, accepted to cover insurance reserves, exceed the amount of insurance reserves by 63.8% and amount to UAH 2.5 billion. The actual solvency margin is UAH 810.3 million and exceeds the standard by 61.1%, which allows the company to fulfill its obligations to customers on time and in full. Equity capital of UNIQA is UAH 834.5 million.

GWP of UNIQA Life for 9 months of 2021 amounted to UAH 390.75 million. Paid claims reached UAH 28.3 million. Equity capital of UNIQA Life is UAH 453.8 million. Assets for 9 months of 2021 increased by 7.5% compared to the same period in 2020, to UAH 1.5 billion. The reserves amounted to UAH 910.5 million. The actual solvency margin of the company is UAH 451.1 million and exceeds the standard by 10 times.
