From January to May 2021, the MTPL market in Ukraine grew by 14.6% to UAH 2.7 billion (~EUR 80.57 million*), Forinshurer reports according to the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine. At that MTPL GWP under e-policies increased by 59% to UAH 1.4 billion.

The number of concluded MTPL agreements over the period under review increased by 9% and reached 3.58 million units, while 1.67 million agreements were concluded in electronic format (+56%).

MTPL paid claims in January-May increased by 31.5% to UAH 1.54 billion. The Bureau also recorded an increase in the number of settled claims by 24.5%, and the number of claims settled using the European Accident Statement increased by 33.9% compared to the same period of 2020.
