UKRAINE: new development strategy for the financial market until 2025 under discussion

Regulators of the Ukrainian financial market are inviting financial market participants, experts and international partners to discuss a new development strategy until 2025, Forinsurer reports.

According to the Head of the National Bank, Jacob SMOLIYA, the new strategic document for the sector's development during the next 5 years is now under active discussion. Representatives of regulators (the National Bank, the Ministry of Finance, the National Commission for securities and stock market, the National financial services committee of Ukraine, the Fund for guarantee of individuals' deposits) are confident that the new strategy will help build trust and increase investments.

Preparation of a new strategy was first announced at the end of May 2019. Proposals from the market participants are expected until September 30. At that the key directions and goals of the strategy include financial stability, macroeconomic and financial market's development, financial inclusion and introduction of innovations in the financial sector.
