Ukaine: The most recently created association of insurers has gathered five members
Three new companies have joined the recently founded National Association of Insurers of Ukraine. Thus, currently the association has five members: Universalna and Krayina, (founding members) and the Ukrainian Insurance Group, UNIQA and Globus insurance company, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
Ukraine: Winners of prestigious insurance awards 2017 were named
The champions of the Ukrainian insurance market were awarded at the XIth Edition of All-Ukrainian Competition "Insurance Company of 2017 year", organized by the Club Banker in partnership with the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine (LIOU) on 14 November 2017 in Kiev.
Ukraine: GWP on MTPL insurance up by 7.6%, while reported claims grew by 26.8%
In 3Q 2017, the GWP on MTPL insurance in Ukraine increased by 7.6%, to UAH 2.8 billion compared to the 3Q2016. According to the local Motor Insurance Bureau, 55 insurers were providing MTPL insurance in Ukraine, Forinsurer said.
Ukraine: Starting from January 2018, e-MTPL policies will be accessible
The Motor Insurance Bureau of Ukraine began the process of implementing the e-MTPL policy. The transition period of passing from the MTPL policy printed on paper to the electronic form will take 12 months, Forinsurer announced.

According to a report presented by the Motor Insurance Bureau of Ukraine in one of every four road accidents is involved a foreign vehicle, while the absolute number of accidents with implication of vehicles with foreign registration is increasing every year.

In 1Q2017, GWP collected by local insurers' went up by 31.69% y-o-y, to UAH 10,895.90 million, of which UAH 10,263.30 million for the non-life insurance segment (up by 34.82%), while life insurance saw a decrease by 4.31%.
