UNIQA Group рассматривает возможность покупки 51% акций Zavarovalnica MARIBOR, одним из главных игроков на словенском рынке страхования. Norbert HELLER, представитель австрийской группы UNIQA подтвердил заинтересованность в этом потенциальном приобретении финансовым газетам из Австрии и Словении. Он также уточнил, что UNIQA ждет, детальную информацию для того, чтобы должным образом оценить "привлекательность  потенциального приобретения".

К концу 2011 года, Zavarovalnica MARIBOR занимала третье место на словенском рынке, сборы которой составили 263 млн. евро. Доля занимаего рынка - 12,6%. В 2011 году, компания зарегистрировала чистую прибыль в 10,5 млн. евро. В то время как, в первой половине 2012 года, компания заняла второе место в рейтинге страховых компаний, с долей рынка в 14,7%.

MARIBOR владеет большой сетью продаж, включающий в себя 10 филиалов, 56 и 292 агентств, 875 сотрудников по всей Словении.
