[video|12658]EUROINS Romania has gone through many changes in the last couple of years, focusing more on the retail segment and on the MTPL market, as well as internal operations. The company's strategy seems to concentrate on underwriting smaller, rather than many large fleets.

"Our company is changing rapidly in the sense that it's improving its profitability. That is the result of many internal changes", said Jeroen van LEEWUN, Chief Operating Officer, EUROINS in an interview for XPRIMM Time for Business.

Moreover, the competition on the Romanian insurance market makes it difficult for companies to gain long term profit. The COO of EUROINS commented on this situation:

"We have invested a lot in improving our claims management, not only in order to pay claims faster than we used to do. We have also changed the way that we are actually managing the claims in terms of the amount of the loss, at the same time increasing the comfort for our customers. We have contracted many more repair shops and more than half of our claims are being handled by them."

The company expects profit in 2017, should things remain calm on the market and also, it plans on defending its "20% share of market on the MTPL segment, rather than increasing it."

"We are clearly becoming a profitable company and we are also putting more capital into the company. We want our company to become a trustworthy partner for the market", concluded Jeroen van LEEWUN.
