On June 29, 2021, an official visit of the President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Tajikistan took place, according to the website of the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

As part of this visit, in order to expand cooperation and ensure protection of the rights of citizens of these two republics, an Agreement on cooperation in pension provision and social insurance was signed between the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It should be noted that earlier, on June 9, a similar Agreement on cooperation in pension insurance and provision was signed between the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Extra-budgetary Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
